This notice explains the basic information handling that can occur when someone visits Findestera or follows a link to a third-party website.
Information received automatically
Like most websites, Findestera’s hosting and security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, approximate region, timestamps and security events.
Search and site interactions
The guide search and category filters on the homepage run in the visitor’s browser. Findestera does not require an account to use the public guide library.
Cookies and local storage
Findestera does not intentionally set advertising cookies through the homepage interface. Hosting, security or future measurement features may use limited technical storage where necessary. This notice will be updated before materially different tracking is introduced.
Third-party and affiliate links
When a visitor follows a link to a retailer or another website, that destination may collect information under its own privacy notice. If an authorized affiliate link is active, the retailer may use the referral information to attribute a qualifying purchase.
Data retention and protection
Technical records are retained only as needed for delivery, security, diagnostics and legal obligations. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Children
Findestera is a general-audience publication and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
